Gospel Writers (15/12)
Up until now, I’ve periodically linked to articles I’ve been impacted by over the previous week. These were grouped together under the title, ‘Weekend Wandering’. Inspired by a writers group I’m a part of, these regular updates will now be called, “Gospel Writers’, and will be an opportunity to showcase writing that stirs the affections and sharpens the mind toward Christ.
In particular, I’m going to begin by highlighting a few of the writers who participate in our Gospel Writers cohort (more information on this can be found here: Gospel Writers).
Joshua Hill: Anticipating Advent
Josh is working on a series through Advent, so if you are looking to expand your reading on this, here is a great place to start
Heidi Tai: How #candid are your candids, really?
Heidi is a thoughtful and poetic writer well worth your time in reading.
Glenna Marshall: Drinking from the pool of bitterness
“It’s foolishness to keep subjecting yourself to something that causes you to sin. Fanning every remembered spark of anger into a blaze does nothing but burn you up from the inside out. Drinking from a pool of bitterness does nothing but slowly poison you.”
Jamie A. Hughes: Stone of Help
This was a fantastic reflection with great practical applications. I enjoyed this.
Ryan Hawklins: We Live in a God-Centered Universe, So Let’s Be Rich Toward God
Ryan wrote this as a part of larger series, primarily for the benefit of his own church, yet I think you will find it helpful as well.
